General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988 · Last updated: 26 September 2026

This page provides product identification, manufacturer contact information and safety guidance for Anumys consumer software made available in the European Union. The European Commission’s current business guidance explains that the GPSR’s broad product definition includes digital products such as apps and software. This notice concerns product safety; it does not replace product-specific technical, licensing or consumer information.

1. Manufacturer and safety contact

Anumys develops and makes the software products offered under the Anumys / Whispering Instruments names available to consumers. FastSpring may act as merchant of record and handle checkout and payment; product safety questions and reports can be sent directly to Anumys using the contact above.

2. Products covered and identification

This notice covers downloadable Anumys software, including audio plugins, standalone applications and mobile applications offered through the Anumys catalogue. The product name, version, supported operating system, format and product or application code shown on the relevant product page, download page or installer identify the applicable product and build.

These products are supplied as digital downloads or account-based entitlements. No physical product or packaging is supplied. Product-specific compatibility details, installation instructions and any additional warning are provided on the product page, in the installer or in the product documentation where applicable.

3. Intended use and safe installation

4. Hearing and audio equipment safety

Audio plugins and instruments can produce sudden, loud or sustained sound depending on their settings, the host project and connected equipment. Start playback at a low monitoring level, raise the volume gradually, and avoid prolonged listening at high levels. Check the master output before loading presets, opening projects or routing audio to headphones, speakers or other equipment. Stop playback if you experience discomfort, unexpected feedback, distortion or unusually loud output.

5. Accounts, licences and updates

Some products require an Anumys account, licence activation or communication with the LicenseServer to deliver or manage the purchased entitlement. Use the product and operating-system edition associated with your order, protect your account credentials and licence information, and follow the product’s activation and update instructions. Anumys may provide corrected or security-related software updates and may temporarily restrict a download or entitlement while investigating a credible product-safety concern.

6. Report a safety concern

If you believe an Anumys product may cause harm, damage equipment, expose a security weakness that could affect user safety, or otherwise present a product-safety risk, stop using the affected product where appropriate and contact issues@anumys.eu. Include the product name and code, version/build, operating system, host or device, a description of the risk and the steps that led to it. Do not include passwords, payment-card details or licence keys in your report.

We will review safety reports, investigate the affected product and take proportionate corrective action where needed. Depending on the issue, this may include a fix or update, a warning, temporary suspension of distribution, direct customer communication or another measure required by applicable law. We may contact you for information needed to investigate and respond.
